Short Biography:

Currently I am working as a Professor, in the Mechatronics Engineering Department, World University of Bangladesh. I have more than 13 (Thirteen) years Teaching and 16(Sixteen) years Research experiences. My research interest lies in both fundamental and applied aspects of Renewable Energy Technologies, especially in new technology to harvest electrical energy from solar, biomass and hydro sources.

I started my carrier at Renewable Energy Technology in Asia (RETs in Asia) Phase -II Project in the year 1999 as a Research Engineer under the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) before joining as a Program Support Specialist in year 2005 at BRAC. I was appointed as an Assistant Manager (Technical) in the year 2006 at Rural Power Company Ltd (RPCL) in Dhaka, Bangladesh and later on in the year 2009 was started working as a Lecturer in the TAS Institute of Oil and Gas, at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. I moved to the Universiti Malaysia Sabah as a Senior Lecturer in the year 2012 and continued until December 2018. I was joined as an Associate Professor at World University of Bangladesh and Later on in March 2021 promoted as a Professor.  I was served as a Head Mechatronics Engineering Department, an Additional Director, IQAC, Head, Energy Research Unit, Chairman, Energy Committee (Eco-Campus, UMS), Head, Fluid and Thermal Expert Panel and Coordinator, Diploma in Oil and Gas Engineering and also served as a Deputy Head in the Material and Mineral Research Unit (MMRU).

I received Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical), Masters of Science (Environmental Management) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh Institute of Technology (BIT) Khulna, Jointly from University of San Francisco, USA & Mahidol University, Thailand and Universiti Malaysia Sabah in the year 1998, 2004 and 2012, respectively.

I also had published more than 65 research papers in the various journals and national & international conference proceedings, among then about 34 articles are indexed by SCOPUS and also hold a Patent on natural draft cooling tower.  I am a Chartered Energy Engineer, and CEng Member of Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and Energy Institute (EI), Fellow, Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB), Member, Bangladesh Society of Mechanical Engineers (BSME), American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) and Professional Member, Institute of Materials Malaysia (IMM) and Society of Industrial Engineering and Operation Management (IEOM).
