Message

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh, the first of its kind in the nation. Since its inception in 2006, our department has been dedicated to producing skilled engineers who can lead in today’s rapidly advancing technological world.

Mechatronics, by its very nature, blends mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering into a single, powerful discipline that drives the future of automation and intelligent systems. It is the field behind robots, smart devices, advanced manufacturing, and countless innovations that shape the modern world. At WUB, we go beyond textbooks where we prepare our students with a strong theoretical foundation while ensuring they gain practical experience through hands-on projects, design workshops, and collaborations with industry.

By working on real challenges and creative solutions, our students learn not only how systems work, but also how to innovate and improve them. This combination of knowledge and application builds confidence, nurtures creativity, and equips our graduates to thrive in the fast-changing world of engineering and technology.

We are proud of our committed faculty members, enthusiastic students, and the culture of innovation and teamwork that defines our department. Together, we strive to advance research, promote creativity, and serve society through engineering solutions that make a real difference. Over the years, around 1,500 students have graduated from our department, and they are excelling in diverse professional fields, both at home and abroad. Their success stands as a testament to the quality of education, guidance, and opportunities we provide.

I warmly invite you to be a part of this exciting journey to learn, innovate, and shape the future with us.
