About Club

As our motto goes, the tech enthusiasts of WUB Robotics Club endeavor to expand the understanding of global robotics developments. Moreover, we aim to identify talents in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and nurture them into valuable assets for our institution through reflecting the values and aspirations of the club community.

Vision

To become a leading center for robotics education and innovation in Bangladesh, producing technically skilled engineers capable of driving advancements in automation, AI, and intelligent systems for sustainable development and industrial progress.

Mission

To identify and nurture talent in robotics and AI by providing students with practical training, project-based learning, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies. We aim to foster creativity, teamwork, and ethical engineering practices while promoting innovation and research excellence.

We also strive to inspire the next generation of engineers through outreach programs, workshops, and community engagement, reflecting the values and aspirations of the WUB Robotics Club community.

Activities

  • Organize robotics workshops and coding bootcamps on Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ROS, and Python.
  • Host guest lectures and seminars featuring AI/robotics experts, researchers, and industry professionals.
  • Participate in national and international robotics competitions such as Robocon, IEEE Robotic Challenge, and Smart City Hackathons.
  • Develop student-led projects including autonomous robots, drones, AI-powered assistants, and smart home systems.
  • Conduct industrial visits to robotics labs, manufacturing plants, and tech startups.
  • Run STEM outreach programs in schools to promote interest in science and technology among youth.
  • Collaborate with faculty on research projects related to AI, computer vision, and embedded systems.

Goals

  1. Skill Development: Equip members with hands-on experience in programming, electronics, mechanics, and AI through regular training and projects.
  2. Project-Based Learning: Encourage innovation by supporting student teams in designing and building functional robotic systems.
  3. STEM Education Promoting: Spread awareness and excitement about robotics and AI through school visits, exhibitions, and public demonstrations.
  4. Educational Outreach: Organize workshops and hackathons to inspire young learners and promote inclusive access to technology.
  5. Communication & Networking: Build professional networks through collaborations with other clubs, universities, and industry partners.
  6. Competitions & Events: Represent WUB in national and international robotics challenges to showcase talent and gain recognition.

Policies / Membership

  • Membership is open to all undergraduate students of Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Science Engineering at WUB.
  • Applicants must attend an orientation session and pass a short technical assessment or interview.
  • A nominal semester fee supports club activities, materials, and competition participation.
  • Members are expected to actively participate in events, projects, and meetings to maintain membership.
  • Annual renewal ensures continuous engagement and leadership rotation.
