Short Biography:

Md Hosne Mobarak, mostly known as Sarfraaz, has been recognized for his commitment to excellence and thirst for knowledge throughout his academic journey. He successfully maintained the first position out of 58 in his class throughout his undergraduate studies securing CGPA 3.88 out 4.00. Furthermore, achievements such as being on the Dean’s List and receiving the Academic Excellence Award multiple times demonstrate his dedication and focus. Winning the $4800 ASHRAE Grant ranks among his most significant academic accomplishments. As the TecHVAC 1.0 – Project Showcasing Competition winner, he can use his educational understanding in the real world and display his problem-solving abilities. In addition, Mr. Sarfraaz was awarded the Prof. Dr. M. Alimullah Miyan Scholarship, the Engr. Shamim Ahsan Mohebullah Scholarship, and secured first position in both the 11th and 12th National Undergraduate Mathematics Olympiads Intra-University phase held in 2020 and 2022, respectively, for his outstanding performance.

As an aspiring researcher, Mr. Sarfraaz is deeply invested in the development of the engineering industry. His current research projects and publications demonstrate his enthusiasm for discovering novel and environmentally friendly applications of nanoparticles. To this date, Mr. Sarfraaz worked on over 25 papers on nanomaterials, additive manufacturing, semiconductors, machine learning, etc.; among them, 16 have already been published. One of his published articles, titled ‘‘Recent advances of additive manufacturing in implant fabrication – A review (Q1, IF – 6.2)’’ provides a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in using additive manufacturing techniques for creating medical implants, and my latest published article titled ‘‘Advances of graphene nanoparticles in dental implant applications – A review (Q1, IF – 6.2)’’ provides a summary of the fundamental research and applications of graphene nanoparticles in dental implants, Mr. Sarfraaz's notable research work title ‘Alocasia Indica Assisted Green Synthesis of ZnO Nanoparticles for Improved Anti-Microbial Performance’’ was published at the IWSN 2023 Conference held in Russia. This paper reports the green synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles using Alocasia Indica extracts as a capping agent. Here, he characterized ZnO NPs using UV Test, FTIR, SEM, EDX, XRD, TEM, and Antimicrobial Test to reveal that these synthesized ZnO NPs can improve antimicrobial performance.
