Biography
Prof. Dr. S. M. Fazlul
Karim holds a distinguished academic and professional background in the field
of Nuclear and Mechanical Engineering. He completed his B.Sc. in Mechanical
Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET),
followed by a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Nuclear Technology from the
Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science & Technology, Islamabad. He later
pursued his doctoral studies, earning a Ph.D. in Reactor Thermal Hydraulics
from Jahangirnagar University.
Dr. Karim has also been recognized internationally through prestigious fellowships, including as an STA Fellow in Nuclear Technology in Japan and an IAEA Fellow at Westinghouse Electric Company (WEC), Pittsburgh, USA. His expertise spans reactor safety, thermal hydraulics, and advanced nuclear technologies, reflecting decades of engagement in cutting-edge research and international collaboration.
As a senior academic, Prof. Dr. Karim continues to contribute significantly to teaching, research, and capacity building in the fields of nuclear technology and mechanical engineering, fostering innovation and preparing the next generation of engineers and researchers.
