WUB Robotics Club (WUBRC) Holds Official Committee Handover Ceremony & Celebrates Milestone

On 15 September 2025, the WUB Robotics Club, World University of Bangladesh celebrated a significant milestone with the official handover of responsibilities from the 2024–2025 committee to the new 2025–2026 team. Established on 4 June 2024, the club was founded to provide hands-on experience in cutting-edge robotics and automation projects. The University extends heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing committee for their dedication and leadership, and warm congratulations to the new committee as they embark on their journey ahead.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed faculty members: Farhan Mahbub (Associate Professor & Head, Mechatronics Engineering), Dr. Mizanur Rahman (Professor, Mechanical Engineering), Mir Mohammad Azad (Professor & Head, Computer Science and Engineering), Rumana Tasnim (Assistant Professor, Mechatronics Engineering & Faculty Advisor, WUB Robotics Club), Dr. Jannatun Nayeem (Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Engineering), along with other distinguished faculty members. Their presence and continued encouragement have been a constant source of inspiration for the students.

Certificates of appreciation were presented by the faculty to the outgoing committee members in recognition of their valuable contributions. The University looks forward to the continued growth and innovation of the WUB Robotics Club under its new leadership.

Additionally, several faculty members have been entrusted with key roles in guiding the WUB Robotics Club for the 2025–2026 session. Professor Mir Mohammad Azad, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has been appointed as the Chief Patron of the club. Ms. Rumana Tasnim, Assistant Professor of Mechatronics Engineering, will continue to serve as the Faculty Advisor.

The Faculty Advisory Board for 2025–2026 includes Dr. Jannatun Nayeem (Assistant Professor, CSE), Ahmed Farhan (Senior Lecturer, Mechatronics Engineering), Sadatuzzaman Saagoto (Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering), Protik Borua (Lecturer, Mechatronics Engineering), Taher Hasan Nakib (Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering), Md. Sharif Uddin Shajib (Lecturer, EEE), and Meghdeepa Choudhury (Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering). Their involvement will play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of the club and in supporting students to develop advanced technical expertise and leadership skills.
